I have been looking for away to turn Off the requested spelling of words, with no luck. The French language has 5 different e’s. I get discouraged when trying to spell the words. If you know of way to turn it off or if it can’t be turned off please reply.
My course is French 1 by Memrise.
Thanks!
Hi,
Do you mean you don’t want to do the typing tests and are looking for a way to only have multiple-choice tests? If you are learning from the web version of Memrise, one of Cooljingle’s wonderful userscripts will let you do this. You will find them all in this forum topic: [wiki] All the Userscripts
Select the “Cooljingle Overview” link in the first post and the script you want is “memrise - all - multiple - choice”. When you have installed it, you will need to make two small edits in lines 5 and 6 of the code to change “www.memrise.com” to read “app.memrise.com” to reflect the recent change in the Memrise url. Once installed, you can turn the script on and off to suit your needs.
Sorry If I have misunderstood.
I think that would work, but I’m using a MacBook and the extensions won’t work on Safari.
Thanks
There’s a version of Tampermonkey for Safari which wasn’t included in the earlier forum post: https://www.tampermonkey.net/?browser=safari
Could be worth trying. I seem to remember seeing other posts in the past saying that the scripts will work on Safari.
Good luck!
Thanks so much, but I just don’t have the time to add code and subscript. I have coded some before and at this point I just want the software to “work”. A toggle in the setup might be a way to go. It actually should be worked into the language program.
Best to you! Thanks again
