Could the iOS programmers take some time off from writing cute space people popping up on the screen and fix the serious synchronization bugs that are still present in the iOS app. Or:

a) If you edit a course then the changes are not reflected in the iOS application when doing the course. Old material is still prompted.
b) If you think you could fix it by downloading the course, the changes plus the old wrong entries are mixed together.

This is serious, half of Memrise should be about synchronization of courses and not about cute space figures.

There is apparently an update related to sync problems coming according to @alessioatmemrise and perhaps that will solve your issue too. For now it is still logging out ans back in again that is the work around for getting the updated data, e.g. if you have restarted a course.

OK, well maybe that cute space being’s bubble would mention every time that if the user wants courses updated they need to log out and in every day…

I think they should just fix this bug.

…and I did the mistake of logging out and back in resulting in all progress in the courses lost.

COULD MEMRISE TAKE THE IOS APP SERIOUSLY AND FIX THESE KINDS OF P0 BLOCKER LOSE OF CUSTOMER DATA FIXES rather than space alien bubbles, thanks?

Shutting down the app (double click on the home button and swipe the app) before logging in again worked for me. I’ve tested it a few times both on the latest release and the beta.

The quote I posted above is about the fix for that sync issue.
