Description of the issue: When I do a speed review, I have noticed several issues.
It no longer shows the “hearts” that represent the number of tries. If I fail once it shows a silhouette of a heart.
If there are words flagged for review, the speed review ends after those words, overriding the normal settings (i.e. 10/25/50)
This worked properly on this phone on a previous version so I think it is an update to the app that caused it.

Issue #1: we’re aware of some visual issues on Speed Review in dark mode. A fix for this will be released in the next version (2.94_25045_memrise). Please make sure you keep the app updated

I actually like it a lot the way it is. It has been like that for at least 6-12 months, if I’m not mistaken. And IMHO it should stay like that. Imagine you want to review just the words that are up for review, then go on to learn new ones. That’s exactly what I do. 
@Olaf.Rabbachin - none of the other lessons are like that. And speaking for myself, I would prefer speed learning work like all the other lessons in that you get a full lesson review. Doing speed learning for one word is more annoying than anything.
The regular review session works exactly like SR. I don’t usually do the other review types, but I bet they work that way, too.
FWIW, this is another situation where options should allow users with different preferences to learn the way they prefer. I recently wrote about that here.
Hi both, after checking with the team, I can confirm that this is expected behaviour.
To confirm:
If you have items ready to be reviewed, Speed Review will prompt you with these items only and the setting for words per Speed Review session will be overridden.
If you don’t have any item ready to be reviewed, Speed Review will present you with the number of words per session you selected in your settings.
