[Site Feedback] Flexible spacing on Korean courses?

Hi there,

A thing that has been driving me nuts for months now is the issue of spacing in Korean courses. Unlike many languages, where spaces go in Korean is highly variable; there’s probably a standard for use in formal texts, but in daily use people vary from what I learned in my textbook all the time. My #1 source of “wrong” answers in Korean courses is not putting a space where the course has one, or putting a space where the course doesn’t have one.

Is it possible to make spacing on Korean courses work the same as punctuation on all courses, where having it or not having it doesn’t affect whether your answer is counted wrong?

Whether or not a course creator added alternate acceptable answers will vary from course to course.

If you’re using the website (not the app), you can use Memrise Turbo, which advances you to the next question when it recognizes a valid answer. In cases where Memrise Turbo doesn’t advance you to the next question, you may be grammatically or technically correct, but the course was not set up to accept that answer. Adjust the spaces (or correct typos) until it advances.

The app already behaves somewhat like this… if your answer matches what the course expects, it advances. If not, it doesn’t.
