Releases of new Memrise versions

Is there a procedure by which the Memrise development team announces changes to the released version?

Today, the web version has changed and it no longer requires the Enter key for the Tapping answers. I think that this is how it operated before (and it matches the mobile apps), and it does speed up entry, so I welcome the change.

However, it is a little disconcerting when behaviour changes without any announcement. Was there an announcement?

No, they don’t announce changes these days. Several of us have been grumbling about it, without success, for a long time. If you do a topic search on “announcements”, you’ll find lots of (depressing) discussion.

These more recent topics were put in place by one of the pro-active forum leaders in an attempt to collect important changes in one place:

@alanh, thanks very much for pointing me to the right forum locations.

Hi @misxifRM,

Have you seen this new thread:

And an older one:

Memrise Release Notes - 27 Jan 2017

renamed to:

Hello @DW7, thank you for the information you sent me a very long time ago (February last year). I have been off Memrise since 2016 and so I didn’t see the message. I don’t know if you will see this reply, but I wanted to send you thanks anyway!

Regards
