Sounds great but as quoted this is the major downside imo.
There is no kickstart unless Memrise puts in money and no company does that just for free, specially seeing how vulnerable Memrise seems to be; they couldn’t afford the drastic changes longterm seeing the response.
It would also need to cut away from Memrise completely which imo will not happen. As it stands atm your pro account from Memrise counts for the pro function in Decks, Memrise imo did this for a reason, like an insurance. It could get messy cutting away from Memrise and might cost quite some money even depending on how they view the current situation and future (which has changed over the past months, so I am not sure if they still see Decks as a tumor they want to remove).
