When I load the review session (10 words in my case) for the first time after opening the app, it loads correctly and I am able to go through the session with no problem: when it finishes and I quickly go to a next one though, it loads, the first word is briefly presented, but then the app goes back to the list page (I guess a request is sent for the list, and it takes a bit of time, in the meantime I open the review session, but then the request concludes and I’m being shown the list page from the previous request). I then need to open the ‘classic review’ again from the list to get back to reviewing. The pattern repeats: opening a next session after finishing the previous one too quickly again results in going back to the list of levels.
Quite annoying, as it distracts and prevents from reviewing quickly. Havent seen it before updating to Android v9.0
Can you check whether this corresponds to what I have recently posted as bugs #11 and #12 here? I’m not entirely sure really.
No, this is a different thing.#11, #12 seem to be about parts of UI hidden/overflown by other elements, but what I’m experiencing is being redirected, with a couple of seconds’ delay during which the review session loads/opens, to the list of levels of a given course (the screen with planets etc) after tapping the classic review button when on the “after-review screen” (the one with the summary of words just reviewed).
the problem is reproducible every time, sometimes though the app simply crashes instead of going to the list of levels. 
I actually do think it’s connected to what I wrote in the other thread. The key is that it seems that, after you return from a finished repetition session and switch over to a different course, you need to wait until the app has stopped scrolling through the levels (IOW, stopped scrolling). If you quickly tap the repetition key while the app is scrolling, problems may occur. Can you work around the problem by waiting a bit?

not sure what you mean by switching over to a different course: I’m on the review summary and click ‘classic review’ button when it appears on the screen, to start another review in the very same course.

why the app is scrolling in the first place? I do not return to the list page to trigger that scrolling, as I start another review from the summary page of the previous review: ie I jump from one review to another, without explicitly moving to list page inbetween. And that’s been usually working fast and smooth, but from this morning I’m getting redirected to the list page after a second or two (while the new review is loading/has loaded).
Not sure that’s related, but my course is a long one, ~800 levels, >15000 entries. But that was not an issue up until today. (and I do not have that issue on another device, with a bit older version of both android and the app.)
Alright, then it is a different/new problem.
That’s a good point. None of the courses I work(ed) on are that lengthy. If you work on other courses as well and the problem doesn’t arise there, I suppose it might well be connected to the amount of data.
I’ll flag Memrise’s support here. @MemriseSupport or @MemriseMatty: can you see into this, please?

I can no longer reproduce the issue. It has been fixed or otherwise stopped to occur.
I will get back if it comes up again, but for now, I think this is not happening anymore.
