I hear you, that’s a very valid point. As it happens, I was having a conversation with the owner about this today. He realizes this is important to a lot of people and is currently looking into a few possibilities. If you do like Kitsun and this is the primary thing holding you back, my advice is to check by the Kitsun forums every once in a while to see if any announcements have been made.

Yes, basically sync of compressed data (course texts and results) back and forth. Now, current Memrise has problems with this anyway, so any other app that fixes this would be nice.

correct me if I am wrong: i tried the Chinese course there and in the learning phase it is only multiple choice? can one type in answers in kitsun?

I tried the SpoonFed Chinese deck just there, and I didn’t get any multiple choice in lessons but just “know/don’t know”. The thing about decks on Kitsun is that the type of input is dictated by the person who made the deck. Every deck is different. In the Japanese decks that I’m using, the input is typed and spellchecked: I have to manually type the answer and get it 100% correct for the answer to be accepted.
