Memrise proposing answers not in my course

Hi, as well as using the official Memrise created Italian courses (now on Italian 6) I am building my own course. I’m having problems with Memrise proposing answers that are not in my course.

For example, I have “l’operaio” as an italian word for “manual worker”. When I am prompted with the English “manual worker” on the possible answer cards I see one card with “l’operaio” on it and another with “l’operaio;l’operaia”. Needless to say I usually end up selecting the wrong one, especially in a speed review. I have searched and searched my database but I cannot find out where the “l’operaio;l’operaia” is coming from.

This is just one example.

Any ideas, suggestions?

Well after more diligent searching and having found a hint on one of the posts here I went into the database and searched and found that for operaio and one for operaio;operaia. It seems that when I delete words from levels they are not deleted from the underlying database and have to be deleted separately.

Hi,

you can also turn off the multiple-choice stuff for “classic reviews” and switch to full typing (which is great for RECALLS) on the web portal:

The reviews to clear your backlog queues just take a bit longer instead of multiple-choice and/or speed reviews…if you have the time available…you can invest it a bit better (without any false positive and wrongly adjusted next SR interval because of multiple-choice hints where in fact you still have no clue and you could not have typed it 100% correctly).
