Memrise marks alt definitions wrong

Many of the words in my latest course have two definitions.

Memrise generates multiple choice questions where the word is the question and the definition is the answer.

Memrise sometimes offers both definitions of a word as choices.

It marks one of them wrong.

So, when a word has two definitions I added each definition as an alt to the other definition.

Memrise still marks the alt definition wrong.

Every time.

Same here.

@p3eugyxnrv , have you found a solution?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I use Anki now.

Thanks for your reply, @p3eugyxnrv.
May I ask whether you (completely) switched from Memrise to Anki?

Or did you -fingers crossed- find a solution to fix the issue of alt definitions being marked as wrong (in Memrise) by using Anki (and maybe reimporting to Memrise so that it works here as well)? Wishful thinking :wink:

Thanks for your input.

Where?
On the mobile apps or on the www.memrise.com web portal?

Have you tried turning off multiple-choice and switching to full typing?: GitHub - cooljingle/memrise-all-typing: All typing / no multiple choice when doing Memrise typing courses

The newly implemented “Auto accept” (default is ON on the web) does not really work with alternative definitions that great; you have to manually press the enter hotkey when you have entered the “other” definition. It won’t automatically mark the input text field as green and jump to the next question.
