Hi people. My question: Is the learning streak ‘tied to’ a particular course? My learning streak is still stuck on the same number of days that it was about a month ago, even though I’ve been meeting daily goals. Is this because the streak is ‘tied to’ a particular course, and when i delete that course, I delete the streak, too?

The learning streak isn’t tied to a particular course. It counts any learning activity on any course. Daily goals that you have set for individual courses are a separate thing.
How long ago did you join Memrise? More than a year? The thing to remember with the ‘learning streak’ is that it shows the position for the last 365 days, so it is a ‘rolling’ period and will never go higher than “365”. Could that be the answer?

Hi Alana. Thanks for your reply; good points you raise. But no, I’ve been on Memrise less than a year, so the ‘rolling’ period doesn’t apply to me. I deleted/un-joined several courses a few months back, and then the streak stayed on the same number, even though I’ve been doing it daily since. Hence I concluded that it was tied to a course, but that’s evidently mistaken.
Is the overall learning streak a Pro feature? I have never seen it, I only have a badge for a single-course learning streak.

Hmm. Sounds odd. You’ve probably seen the basic explanation of how it’s supposed to work in the FAQ area but, in case not, it’s here.
I suggest you add a post tagging Joshua from the Memrise Team (precede his user name with “@”) asking him to take a look. You’ll need to say which device, browser, etc you’re using.
