Is there a way to get rid of these stupid chatbots on the "next up" button?

These chatbot exercises are so incredibly bad. Can I stop them from interfering on my “next up” button?

I’d like to stop this “next up” interfering in general … can one delete it?

So frustrating. I’m doing the Mexican Spanish. It repeats the same survey… over and over and over and over. Working for software companies for 9 years, I know that it’s not that hard to fix this issue in any number of ways. Yet they don’t seem to care.

I can’t believe I paid for this service.

lol, I kinda feel often the same way. How the heck could they release this ever-repeating bot?! It’s so useless and I too really wonder if I want to support this bad customer care, as I call it, or nonsense, as others would call it, another year. It feels like they did not care at all. And I don’t like being treated this way. Thus bad customer care. bleh.

Dear lord I know I keep getting the same bots over and over. The worst part is that they are several levels below the level I’m studying, so they are as pointless as they are repetitive. It’s Memrise’s version of “clippy.” I am considering going back to free and not paying anymore, just because it would stop me from getting the bots.

Made my mind up about it and decided to not extend the premium version in it’s current state. Got a few months left though.

But can’t you just ignore the “next up” button? I use Memrise daily, but I’ve never clicked on that button. I always use the “more” button and decide manually what I want to do.

to be honest, I disagree completely

…the “next button callls for “learn new words” in courses that i finished, for “difficult words””/“learn new words” when 90 items are waiting for normal review, etc

after this kind of stuff, i almost never click that huge, unnerving button, what for a waste of space on my screen…

Any news on this annoyance?

It’s probably the same as this one: Chatbots repeating [British English 2, German 1]

If you issue is different, please let us know and tell what you think is different.

It is. but no relevant info. But spent my 2 cents over there too

(off topic: why do you speak always in pluralis majestatis? :upside_down_face:)

lol. I do not think that he is referring to that.

off-topic answer: :laughing:Not pluralis majestatis, but ‘we’ meaning ‘we all memrise community forum users’, because we all talk together about this or that topic.:sparkles:

then it is not the right “we”… other users for sure do not share same opinions or preferences (and you imply you speak for ex in my name too. Sorry?). You/one should speak only in one’s own name…

The bots are incredibly annoying and ineffective for actual learning. I really regret paying for this app (stupid me!) and I’m going to have to find an alternative since these stupid things can’t be turned off.
