I want Memrise to know that if they ever get rid of User Created Courses, I'm cancelling my subscription

If memrise ever does get rid of its user created courses, I’m leaving. There’s nothing more I can do with the site at that point. There are better resources out there than their official courses which are bad.

Yeah, haha, I get what they’re doing with the whole trying be cool and trying to be themed but I would much prefer it if they just straight up said, “Most of the courses will be gone from the menu while we work on something on the app, sit tight.”

Lol most of my time here on memrise used that old forum. One of the early posts on the new forums was me complaining about the new forums just a few days before the old forums were actually phased out. This wasn’t that long ago, it was some time early 2016.

Something else I found really bizarre and stupid to get rid of was the individual forums each course had. I really loved those, and soooo much of the community feeling was lost when they were deleted. So many of the new users don’t know how great memrise used to be. I mean, memrise is still good when compared to others, but with how it is going, that may not always be the case. If memrise sinks, it will be entirely memrise’s fault. They had such a great platform to begin with, all they needed was better marketing, not changes to the platform if they wanted to expand.

They old forum system had its drawbacks, but Memrise did a bad job by cutting throgh the links from a specific courses to its specific forum. The arranged that very badly.

Is this really what they want to do? I have made courses which are very popular, but if this really is what Memrise wants that really worries me and I might go somewhere else in that case, which I would regret as Memrise is the best thing I have come across so far.
