How do I get rid of these long answers that are making my course annoying/unuseable?

I accidently pasted a long list into the bulk add. The system thought these were a single word (my fault), but now, after having deleted them and added the words properly, memrise is still using those words as potential answers to questions, which is ruining my course. Is there any way I can fix this?

Oh, god, I’ve got to get rid of this. It’s making a course I put lots of hours into completely useless.

If you follow the link in the post above, you will see that there are some possbile solutions. One is a script, the other can be done more easily but involves updating the item being tested on to make it refresh the list of possible answers.

This was the recommended method, but I don’t think it’s 100%. Adding and taking a character away with saving might not work. Consider adding a new character to the answer block, save, then take the added character away again to save again.

that method does not really work, the end result is that one has even more phantom entries in the database
