Can someone please help me! I am looking for a way to change how the questions are asked.
I need the questions to go in one direction only!!..
For example when I am studing which drugs are “Inducers or Inhibitors” I can’t have memrise give me the word “inducer” because that has multiple answers.
Here are two examples of inducers
Phenytoin= inducer
Phenobarbital=inducer
I only need the questions to be asked in one direction only --> Phentoin=inducer --> NOT --> inducer=??
I would be very grateful for any advise I get!

This is an issue with the course itself, not memrise. The creator of the course made it the way you’re seeing it atm.
What course (link) are you actually talking about?
If the course doesn’t have audio or images, it shouldn’t be difficult to make your own.

Okay, so it’s only 34 terms? Since you created it, you can change the settings. That’s good news.
I found this:
But I can’t find the ‘test on’ and ‘prompt with’ settings… At least you can turn off ‘typing’ and ‘tapping’ in the column settings (click on column head to access)

Thank you for finding this information, it was very helpful! You are able to see the “test on” and “prompt with” when you go in to edit the course information. I just tried it and it works! It is annoying that you need to learn the words in both directions but when reviewing it did only go in the one direction.

You could also use the ‘auto-learn’ feature within courses you built yourself or are a contributor to, to skip right to the reviewing stage for the items.
You can access this by opening the “Options” drop-down box in a level that hasn’t yet been fully learned, then clicking “Auto learning”.

I am probably looking with my nose, because I can’t find either of those two options; neither of the next two screens offer them.
(1) This is the screen shot for ‘Edit Course → Details’.
(2) ‘Edit Course’ → ‘Levels’ (or ‘Words’ if there are no levels) → click the column head, e.g. ‘English’
On the display tab are only the options ‘Label’, ‘Always Show’ ‘Show after tests’, ‘Show Bigger’, ‘Never Italicize’
