French 1 by Memrise, Level 9

For the phrase:
coffee is delicious -> le café c’est délicieux
Shouldn’t “le café est délicieux” also be acceptable as a correct answer?
I believe I tried (during a review session) and it was not accepted as correct.

Certainly. In IMHO (quite humble, because I can be wrong), “c’est” is even less common/correct. But anyway, ‘est’ is 100% correct.

Edit: Dis-regard my answer above, as I was wrong:

Thanks John_Baite! I don’t know the exact procedure how to report this to Memrise for an eventual correction in the course…

Well, for this course there is a specific thread called ‘[Course Forum] French 1-7 by Memrise’:

For any question about the French courses 1 through 7 made by Memrise, you can post there. The course creator should respond. Have posted a link to this issue for you there.

@John_Baite thanks again!

If I may weigh in a bit, here…

Le café, c’est délicieux = Coffee is delicious
Le café est délicieux = The coffee is delicious
Ce café est délicieux = This coffee is delicious

L’eau, c’est mouillé = Water is wet
L’eau est mouillée = The water is wet
Cette eau est mouillée = This water is wet.

Right. Then dis-regard my first reply.
