Free access?

Hi all. I am wondering whether I should recommend the Memrise App for learning French to one of my Physics students. How much access are new users getting these days before they have to decide whether to purchase Pro?

@lurajane I do my lessons on my home computer. I have complete access to everything that has been being offered to the non Pro students. I would recommend Memrise as well as Duolingo to your student.

Tapping and multiple-choice:

I do not think that those methods are the right ones for reviewing / watering (I also use the Android app for learning NEW words/phrases/sentences) planted words.

I expect that my student will use a phone app, if anything. What features on the Memrise App will she have access to for free?

Here is a Pro vs Non-Pro comparision list: https://www.memrise.com/premium/

Free vs Non-Free: I have to pay?

Either there are some glitches, app version differences on IOS vs Android why people are suddenly locked on some courses on specific levels.
There was an older thread where an new IOS app version had a bug which locked people out. Either it was the version or even the user account.
But I read that this was fixed.

With my above linked Android app I encounter NO level locks.
I can learn new words, and review words (however I review only on the web because of powerful user scripts which force typing and disable multiple-choice).

I have no idea why the user experiences problems in the above “I have to pay” thread. I don’t have any.
