[Feedback] ka and the question marker sound the same. Japanese 1 by memrise

Hey I’m starting the Japanese 1 memrise course and one thing has bugged me. The word I’m going over is か the question marker. However, often I’ve seen the cards for “ka” and for “question marker” pop up at the same time. Its confusing and difficult to guess which one I’m supposed to click on because both are correct. It depends on if it is asking for the pronunciation of the hiragana or if it is asking for the question marker.

To separate them they have used "~か” to indicate its the question marker, but that doesn’t help at all when it is saying the syllable.

Just saying it would be nice if only one popped up or if there was some way to separate them vocally from one another.

Hello. If it’s a question regarding an official Japanese course, it’s best for you to post on the topic:

Thus, your question is more likely to be read and / or answered. KanaTsumoto is responsible for the official Japanese courses.

Regarding the course, there is now a new “Japanese 1”. As you are commenting on “question marker”, it only exists in the old “Japanese 1”. So it’s good to always tell what course you are doing and add a link.

Good luck

Welp I should have looked around more then. >.< My bad.

And thanks for letting me know about the old/new Japanese 1. Wasn’t aware there was a new version of it. There was only one that I found a while back, and I assumed they would have updated it instead of releasing a new version of it. I’ll have to get started on the new one then.

Thanks!

I think the new course was made available this week. And the “Japanese 0” course last week (it was made for beginners and has no kanji).
