Like many, I have been avoiding the new version but the day has come. I personally make my own decks for language study since I have my own book I’m using. I’m at close to 1500 vocab words now and I noticed I can’t seem to find the “edit” button while reviewing a word. Since I make my own decks I sometimes make mistakes and it was nice to be able to click on this “edit” button when I catch the mistake while reviewing and it would take me directly to the word in question. I found a word that needed editing today and had to spend 20 minutes digging through the 1500 word deck just to make the edit when before that “edit” shortcut button while reviewing was a lifesaver. I hope I’m just blind and just don’t see the button in this new version. Can someone show me how to do this with this new version? Or if the feature is now gone who could we recommend this to as an add-on for future updates?
The edit button during review sesssions is indeed gone and it’s inconvenient.
I believe this is one of the features Memrise has promised to bring back sometime…
But were you using the search function in the database to find your word?
My typical database has up to 30 levels. To find a word I would need to “open” them all. Its just a mess of words. What if I miss a level? Word search wouldnt work.
Removing “Edit” function is so ridiculous… why was it necessary?!
