[Course Forum] 'Intermediate to Advanced Italian' by Patrizioso

I have begun the process of converting both into a simplified testing courses, which means you don’t have to pay attention to new Memrise rules about including that which is in brackets or after commas. Could contributors help out? The rest of my Italian courses will follow suit.

My ‘dizionario italiano per straniero’ (giunti) - also recommended - says that by itself it means ‘to remove, take from, take down, pick (fruit)’, syn. ‘staccare’ and the phrasal as indeed ‘jump, leap’. Maybe at both in the meme separated with semi colon in question and answer. Thanks for your consideration, Pat

I was wondering, if it would be clearer if this thread was prefixed with “[Course Forum]”?

Also as there seems to be a duplication of threads for the “Newspaper” course, if this one ought to be only for the “Intermediate to Advance Italian” course and the other just for the newspaper?

Hi Sorry i’ve not replied before I’ve been using the app rather than the computer version recently. I’ve put alternatives on courses before with this problem. However I have noticed that even if you put an alternative, when you are reviewing it does not mark you answer with the green correct bar unless you put the whole thing. Eg level 1 intermediate to advanced - lepre (f.) If you write lepre the box stays white. Although it will allow it as correct if you press enter. It makes you start doubting you have the correct word especially in instances where there are lots of alternatives which may not all be listed. I think I would prefer to have just the word and anything in brackets as an alternative for learning purposes. Unless there is a way of writing the bracketed words a different way so you don’t have to write the lot for the green correct bar to show.

You will have been notified that as Patrizioso approved me clarifying these two threads I have carried out a little house-keeping.

Personally, I think since there were two overlapping threads in existence, in the long run this is helpful to have one Course Forum for each course, especially as @Sandslane is a Contributor to this “Intermediate to Advanced” course and @Colva is a Contributor to the “Newspaper” Course.
