NEWS ON COURSE UPDATE

Today I happened to start checking the second part of the 8K+ Most Common Swedish Words course against my printout of the Kelly database and have found a couple of things that sehiralti must have accidentally mistranscribed. They are the following:

Level 14 - en massa should be en mässa
Level 33 - en läpp should be en lapp
Level 40 - saknad (as adjective) should be en saknad
Level 45 - en anka should be en änka

I will change the database accordingly and apologise for not having found these errors earlier.

I will check the next fifty levels in due course and make any necessary amendments.

Here’s the forum for the second part of the 8,000+ Most Common Swedish Words course.

All suggestions are welcome!

Hi Amanda,
Was looking through the list of words and noticed you had “ett stadium” for “stadium”. I think it should be “phase or stage”. Stadion is stadium.

Thanks very much for coming along and pointing that one out! I came across those words myself the other day while reviewing and I did wonder if there really were TWO almost identical words for “stadium”, but I didn’t think of checking it at the time. I will get to it in the very near future!

I have been checking a few other words, too, the Latin-root words, like “referera” and what have you, because they sometimes have totally different meanings to the ones we have in English. For example, I have just discovered that “referera en match” means to commentate on a match! I had no idea :grin::grin:

I have changed the definition. It now looks like this:

I hope the translations I used from ord.se “Engelska Pro” are accurate
