Is there a way of making all classic review items type only (like on Spanish A1) as I find it hard to retain if it is multiple choice?
I am currently doing Spanish 3/4/5
Thanks Lizzie

Hi Lizzie
Cooljingle’s user script “all typing” on the web portal:
Usually review challenges are mixed.
I had to turn ON special options in the script settings on the left side, (older versions) because offical 1-7 courses dropped typing when it it more than 10 or 15 characters (on the web), however these older settings seem to have been removed in V0.1.28 for latest Memrise code updates, as I can not find them anymore.
I will have to re-check myself…
A full typing option on Android like I heard it recently about the buggy IOS app would have been my favourite, if I would use a smartphone when I am on the way (e.g walking).
You might want to re-test for yourself…but is probably only available for user-created courses.
I re-checked my older Memrise Android app version on KOPlayer Android emulator and it did NOT offer me that keyboard switch button for a single word course “DuoLingo PT BR” by MartinPen.
Maybe an emulator issue, maybe not (Lingvist app e.g had the problem that no voice input button was offered to me).
If there is no acceptable mobile solution by Memrise apps I would probably import all the courses to AnkiSRS (with the Memrise2Anki addon) and use Anki’s self-rating answer default option on their mobile apps (e.g AnkiDroid for Android is free; the IOS app is payware but is excellently supported on the Anki forum by their author who wants it to succeed).
This would be still better than Memrise multiple-choice exercises, but much faster than a pure typing version with longer phrases/sentences as you will find in offical 1-7 courses.
Personally I do not review my completed 1-7 courses that often as I should be because of “all typing”.
