I saw this thread, but it didn’t look like the same issue. I can add and remove new words, my problem is only with the audio

Could you please, review the issue with https://www.memrise.com/ajax/thing/cell/upload_file/

Hi, I’m having the same issue. I can’t record, it says I don’t have flash even after installing, and I can’t upload either - the button just disappears after I have selected my file. Does anyone have any solutions? Thank you!

Hi @sunonmyside,

The team is working on a fix for this bug which we hope will be with our users very soon

In the meantime, are you able to pre-record the audio as an mp3 file and upload it?

I hope this helps.

Best wishes,
Memrise team.

Hi @MemriseSupport , the basic process of uploading mp3 files has a relatively new bug, and now works less efficiently than before.

For each item, before uploading, we see (as before)

" Upload Record no audio file v "

After uploading, we see (and this is new):

" Record no audio file v ",

and it is not possible to check that the audio has been correctly uploaded or to immediately add an additional audio file (this is the new bug).

However, by going out of Editing mode, then re-entering Editing mode we correctly see:

" Upload Record 1 file v "

and we can now click to check the audio was uploaded correctly and, if required, we can go through the process again to add an additional mp3 file.

Thank you for looking at this. (Using Google Chrome on a Windows 10 laptop).

Hi @MemriseSupport, the bug has been fixed - thanks for that.

Although it’s definitely not a show-stopper, there is a new pop-up that comes up during the audio upload process. You’re probably fully aware of this, but I thought I’d let you know just in case.

Hello
I’m having the same problem. I’m trying to upload Mp3 files from my computer. Whenever I try, the ‘upload’ button disappears, but no file is uploaded. I’m using chrome and as far as I know flash is up to date. Can anyone advise?
Cheers

Hi @Saz_LH,

Thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear you’re having these issues.

Are you able to test a few things:

  • Please make sure AdBlock, AdBlocking technology or Ghostery have been disabled
  • Clear cache and cookies
  • Disable any active extensions and/or userscripts
  • Ensure your browser is updated, and restart it
  • Can you try loading the session in another browser, such as Firefox or Safari?
  • If Chrome fails, can you try loading the session in incognito mode?

Please let us know if you still experience issues.

Best wishes,
Memrise team.
