Best course for learning hiragana and katakana?

Hello, got a question: I have spent the last few days with Genki, but I feel it’s not for me, so I turned to MemRise. Has anyone done both these courses?

Right now, my main focus is reading and writing hiragana and katakana. Not interested (for now) in premade sentences, like greetings and how to order food. They can come later, as I feel I need a solid foundation. Which of the two courses do you think is better for me?

Thanks!

Here’s the two courses for Remembering the Kana in 6 Hours that I’ve posted about 3 months ago. They’re followed up by courses for 555 kanji, 150 basic grammar sentences and 500 vocabulary words and much more beyond that so should more than satisfy any beginner’s need.

I’ll try it out. Thanks!
