Since some days (maybe a week) whenever I get a word wrong in my review sessions this word is not flagged as difficult anymore - so I started flagging them myself as best as I can. Am I the only one with this problem?

This was a problem I reported as a beta bug a few weeks back and they fixed it. I’m using the latest beta version not the general release Memrise, so the fix may be coming your way shortly!
This was addressed in a topic, the algorithm can be different between Web and Apps. But a fail is not an automatic fag for difficult words.
