7 Russian courses

Dear Russian learners,

I have been away from Memrise for awhile and I have noticed a few things have changed since I last used the website. One of those, it was the recently created Russian courses by Memrise (I am a Russian student myself).
I am wondering if those courses correspond in some way to the A1/A2 courses that already existed in the German language. Can anybody enlighten me on this?

Thank you.

Hello! I am not learning Russian, however I believe I can answer your question. The A1-course roughly corresponds to the new courses number 1-3, while A2 is the courses 4-5. Source: https://blog.memrise.com/2016/06/17/language-learning-for-the-rest-of-us/

Hey zieLiz,

Thank you for the link. I don’t know what the 6 and 7 courses correspond to, though. But it is good enough for me

Hi Matryoshka’s

Thanks for posting the link to our blogpost @zieLiz

As we have since added courses 6 and 7, here’s a little update:

Courses 1-3 roughly equate A1 level, and A2 equates to courses 4-6. Course 7 is at a B1 level.

Any questions, let me know!

Hey Lien,

Regarding questions, just the one: obviously, one is not at the B1 level after taking the 7 courses. Do you believe Memrise intends to extend those courses in the recent future?

Thank you for your answer.

It’s definitely in our plans to add more advanced courses.
