POTY 2021 R2[edit]

Hi Legoktm, I was wondering if you could help me understand something? My photo is not listed as a finalist, despite scoring more votes than this one and this one in the R1. Am I missing something?.. Thank you. The Cosmonaut (talk) 12:44, 1 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hi! Finalists are chosen from the 30 top photos based on overall votes, and then the top 2 photos in each category (if they weren't selected already). The two photos you refer to were top in the "Sculptures" category, while yours was in "Panoramic views". The #2 in Panoramic views is this photo, which had 225 votes.
I hope this clarifies things and I wish you luck next year :-) Legoktm (talk) 16:18, 1 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ah, it makes sense now. Thank you for the explanation! --The Cosmonaut (talk) 01:12, 2 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thanks![edit]

Hi Legoktm, Thanks for your work on the POTY 2021. It's a great part of Wikipedia so I appreciate you keeping it going. Glennfcowan (talk) 03:10, 16 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

+1 Thanks so much for taking this on! The Picture of the Year Contest is a highlight for all photographers who participate in Featured Pictures. I'm tremendously thankful for you organizing it this year. Best, --Frank Schulenburg (talk) 17:42, 21 April 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Re: Source code for "satori" Toolforge tool[edit]

Done. That's actually a private repo. Stang★ 22:52, 10 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Stang: thanks! But I hate to be the bearer of bad news, my understanding is that the goal is to remove code repositories from Phabricator (T191182), so you probably want to move it to Wikimedia GitLab eventually. Legoktm (talk) 06:41, 12 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Commons:Picture of the Year/2022/Control Panel[edit]

Hi @Legoktm: It just popped up at Special:PageTranslation. Do you want to be marked for translation? I am asking because I do not feel it is ready yet. So much of redlinks. ─ The Aafī (talk) 20:13, 9 April 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@TheAafi: thanks for asking. No, not yet, I will do so once I test it with this year's voting gadget in the next few days. Legoktm (talk) 00:03, 11 April 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
ohh okay, please let me know in case you need my assistance. ─ The Aafī (talk) 00:06, 11 April 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
