Question about two deleted files[edit]

Hello, Captain-tucker. On October 1st you deleted two photos, which I uploaded to Wikimedia, because of ARR. A few days ago, I found a Collectif-Objets site owned by the French Ministry of Culture that has the same pictures, but licensed under the etalab-2.0. Is it possible now to recover deleted photos for this reason?

Removed files I'm asking about:

  1. Statue (gisant) le Squelette, détail (467 x 700).jpg | This file is named "oa055_20215500227.jpg" on the Collectif Objets site. (8th photo out of 24 in the Collectif Objets' gallery, 8/24)
  2. Statue (gisant) le Squelette, vue partielle (467 x 700).jpg | This file is named "oa055_20215500230.jpg" on the Collectif Objets site. (11/24)

@Iwego: Sorry for the delay. I have undeleted both files and updated the info on each page. You may want to re view those changes and update if necessary. Captain-tucker (talk) 13:53, 24 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Files Martin Fröst by Mats Bäcker 1.jpg and 2 and 3[edit]

Hello Captain-tucker, Today the author Mats Bäcker sent you the release for these photos; I received a copy of it. Now Mats Bäcker tells me that you did not read him as the author in the picture information, but a Nicolaj Lund, which he cannot explain.

I have now read out the 3 photos myself and find the information Nicolaj Lund only on the 1st picture, not on the other two. There it says Mats Bäcker as the author. So these two photos are fine. The first photo is an adaptation of mine, in which I changed the original blue background. As a new background I copied the background from some photo and then projected the cropped photo of Mats Bäcker onto it. Obviously, the background of this is taken by Nicolaj Lund. I now replaced this picture with the blue original. This should clear up any confusion.

Please confirm now, that the copyright holder has approved publication under the terms of Wikimedia. Gisbert K (talk) 21:39, 18 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I added the permission tag on the three images and deleted the first version of File:Martin Fröst by Mats Bäcker 1.jpg which you said was adapted by you and not the original. Captain-tucker (talk) 13:00, 19 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Notification about possible deletion[edit]

Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
