English: Cover of Zip-Jet Comics, volume 1, number 2, May 1953, published by St. John Publications Co. This image has lapsed into the public domain, due to St. John failing to renew the copyright. Zip-Jet was an updated version of the golden age superhero Rocket Man, created by Chelser Studios for Scoop Comics (1941). While short-lived, Zip-Jet was one of a small number of superheroes "revived" in the hiatus between the Gold and Silver Ages of Comics.
